Sapien, a San Francisco-based AI startup founded in October 2024, has secured a new funding round led by Ali Partovi of Neo. The company is now valued at $180 million, following a seed round of $8.7 million led by General Catalyst in late 2024.

The platform utilizes AI agents that integrate directly with enterprise infrastructure, including CRM systems, data warehouses, and ERPs. This technology reduces the time required for complex financial analyses from several days or weeks to just a few minutes.

In a case study with automotive supplier Carlex, Sapien identified a $12 million misattribution error. The analysis revealed that factors previously credited with $10 million in positive EBITDA were actually causing a $2 million drag on performance.

The startup reports that its platform increases reporting granularity by over 800% compared to traditional business intelligence tools. The company currently operates with a team of approximately 20 people, led by CEO Ron Nachum and Chief Scientist Arya Grayeli.

Sapien's client base includes companies from high-complexity industries such as Bayer, Blink Charging, Westgate Resorts, Cooper Standard, and Carlex, spanning manufacturing, hospitality, EV infrastructure, and automotive supply.
