Santé, a New York-based developer of an AI-powered operating system for wine and liquor retailers, has secured $15 million in a Series A funding round. The investment was led by FINTOP, with participation from existing investors including Bonfire Ventures, Operator Collective, Veridical Ventures, and TipTop VC. The company's total funding to date has reached $22.6 million.
The platform provides an integrated point-of-sale system that handles in-store checkout, e-commerce, delivery app orders, and marketing. Its core functionality relies on autonomous AI agents that manage back-office tasks, such as scanning distributor invoices, optimizing pricing for slow-moving inventory, and generating SEO-optimized product descriptions.
The company currently serves nearly 1,000 retail locations, which collectively process over $2 billion in annual gross merchandise volume. Over the past year, the business has experienced 500% growth. Santé operates on a business model that combines vertical SaaS subscriptions with embedded fintech revenue generated through payment processing and accounts payable tools.
The U.S. market for independent beer, wine, and liquor stores consists of approximately 34,000 establishments, with a total estimated market size of $87.2 billion in 2026. In the coming months, the company plans to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams while introducing new AI agents for automated accounts payable and dynamic wholesale purchasing.
