Samsung has initiated the rollout of the stable One UI 9 update based on Android 17 for four smartphone models: Galaxy M56, Galaxy M17, Galaxy F17, and Galaxy A35. The update includes the October 2026 security patch, system optimizations, and interface adjustments. The specific feature set depends on the hardware capabilities of each device.
The firmware for the Galaxy M56 is identified as M566BXXU7DZJ1 with a size of 2.2 GB. Galaxy A35 users receive the A356EXXUBEZJ2 package, which is 2.7 GB in size. For the Galaxy M17 and Galaxy F17, the company released builds ending in DZJ5, each weighing approximately 2.4 GB. The update is also available for Galaxy A35 users who did not participate in the beta program.
The distribution of the software is occurring in stages, meaning availability may vary by region or device. Samsung advises users to check for the update via the Settings menu under Software Update. To ensure a successful installation, the company recommends maintaining sufficient battery levels, clearing storage space, and connecting to a stable Wi-Fi network.
