Samsung is reportedly planning a significant expansion of its Galaxy Z foldable lineup for 2027, aiming to compete with Apple's iPhone Duo. The company intends to introduce a total of six different foldable models as part of this strategic push.

The Galaxy Z TriFold2 is expected to be the first device to launch, likely arriving shortly after the Galaxy S27 series. Samsung aims to address previous production challenges by making this new iteration thinner and lighter than its predecessor, which faced limited availability shortly after its release.

A key addition to the lineup is the Galaxy Z Slide, which features a vertical sliding mechanism. While Samsung has previously showcased similar concepts at MWC and CES, this would mark the first time the company brings this form factor to mass production, adding to its existing foldable designs.

The 2027 product roadmap focuses on comprehensive hardware improvements, specifically targeting better battery life, reduced device thickness, and lower weight across the entire Galaxy Z series. Samsung has not yet officially confirmed these plans, and specific technical details remain unknown.
