Owners of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 smartphone have reported that the internal display corners flex inward when pressed lightly near the bezels. Users noted that while some devices exhibit this behavior, others feature completely rigid screens, leading to concerns about potential inconsistencies in manufacturing quality.
Samsung addressed these reports by stating to the BusinessPost publication that the flexibility is an intentional design feature rather than a defect. According to the company, the display is engineered to provide cushioning, which helps prevent damage from everyday impacts or the intrusion of foreign particles like sand.
Despite the official explanation, some users remain concerned that the flexible corners could negatively affect the device's water resistance. While the manufacturer maintains that the design is intended to protect the screen, consumers continue to perceive the visible indentations as a flaw in the product's build.
