Salesforce announced on September 16, 2026, the integration of OpenAI frontier models into its Missionforce platform. The system operates via Salesforce Government Cloud and Amazon Bedrock, providing authorized personnel with secure access to AI tools.

The platform features the Missionforce Policy Engine, which transforms static documents into executable rules requiring human review. Additionally, AI agents can now autonomously perform multistep workflows based on mission-specific data.

Users can interact with Missionforce applications through a ChatGPT interface. Salesforce ensures agencies maintain control over data governance and model deployment, including support for air-gapped environments isolated from the public internet.

Salesforce also entered a partnership with NVIDIA to integrate accelerated computing for heavy inference tasks. OpenAI has expanded its U.S. government agreements via the General Services Administration to facilitate procurement.

Missionforce, launched in September 2025, holds FedRAMP High authorization. Salesforce previously secured a $5,6 billion IDIQ contract with the U.S. Army and currently supports government agencies in areas like benefits processing and procurement.
