The Russian Ministry of Digital Development, the Ministry of Education, and the State University of Education have launched a free AI training program for school teachers. The curriculum, developed by Yandex, aims to train 250,000 participants this year.
The 36-hour online course covers practical AI applications, including generating lesson plans, visual aids, and assignments. Teachers will also learn to transcribe classes, analyze student grades, and identify AI-generated content in student work.
Training is divided into three cohorts: September 25 to October 19, October 9 to November 2, and October 23 to November 26. Participants must have a verified account on the Gosuslugi portal to register for the program.
Upon completing the course and passing a final test, teachers will receive an electronic certificate of professional development. The program is open to educators regardless of their current level of experience with artificial intelligence tools.
