The Russian Ministry of Defense reported a strike on the De-Novo data center in Ukraine, identifying it as a facility used for military data processing and storage. The center, which launched in 2010, was the first in Ukraine to meet the Tier III standard and previously held a leading position in the local market according to IDC estimates.
The facility consists of two segments: a modularly constructed data center and a general machine room. De-Novo was founded by KM Core, an investment firm led by former Sitronics president Evgeny Utkin, alongside Intel Capital and the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
This incident follows a series of strikes on Ukrainian telecommunications infrastructure. On September 11, 2026, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported an attack on the Be-Mobile data center, a site previously associated with cryptocurrency mining. On September 14, 2026, a strike was also reported on the office of Kyivstar, the country's largest mobile operator.
