The Russian Ministry of Defense has launched a platform providing drone manufacturers with access to objective control data from combat operations. This initiative aims to facilitate the training of military-grade neural networks, with 40 companies already registered on the service.
The platform includes a unified classifier for machine learning data to ensure consistency in the results submitted by developers. The system is secured with certified information protection tools, including modern cryptography and authentication protocols.
The data repository contains processed video materials from FPV drones, as well as various copter and fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles. This resource, referred to as the Data Showcase, was initiated to improve the efficiency of drone operations.
The Ministry of Defense has been integrating unmanned systems units into a centralized data analytics system since May 2025. This infrastructure allows for the assessment of operational effectiveness based on specific tasks performed by drone operators.
Russian developers are currently utilizing artificial intelligence for image recognition, target acquisition, and navigation. In October 2026, reports emerged regarding a new system capable of controlling drone swarms via voice commands, simplifying complex tactical interactions.
