The new production facility is located within the Automated Control Systems and Electrical Engineering division of a state corporation. To ensure the precision of the detectors, a specialized clean zone was established for working with high-purity germanium, as impurities can degrade semiconductor properties and measurement results.

These germanium detectors are characterized by very high energy resolution when registering gamma radiation. This capability allows researchers to distinguish between close spectral lines and accurately determine the chemical and isotopic composition of the samples being studied.

The equipment is intended for use at the NICA accelerator complex, where it will be used to identify isotopes and perform activation analysis of residual radiation following experiments.

In space exploration, these devices will be used to determine the elemental composition of lunar soil, search for rare earth elements, and study polar craters where significant deposits of water ice are suspected to exist.
