Rubrik shares rose 21% over a single week, bringing the company's market capitalization to over $21.8 billion. The stock increase followed public warnings from Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei regarding the potential for AI-driven cyberattacks, which boosted the broader cybersecurity sector.
For the fiscal second quarter of 2027, which ended on July 31, 2026, Rubrik reported revenue of $427.3 million, representing a 38% year-over-year increase. Subscription annual recurring revenue reached $1.66 billion, a 33% rise compared to the previous year, leading management to raise full-year guidance.
The stock rally increased the value of stakes held by CEO Bipul Sinha, cofounder Arvind Nithrakashyap, and former cofounder Arvind Jain. Each holds approximately 5% of the company, with their respective positions now valued at roughly $1.1 billion.
Rubrik is integrating AI into its security offerings, notably through the launch of Code Guardian, which utilizes Anthropic’s Claude Mythos. Additionally, the company expanded its partnership with CrowdStrike to include agentic automation and added support for MCP and Apache Iceberg.
