Rolls-Royce has initiated dynamic testing for its new Nightingale electric roadster, the first model in the brand's Coachbuild Collection. The vehicle is limited to 100 units, with each priced at approximately $9.5 million before additional personalization.

The roadster measures 5,760 mm in length and features a unique 'piano' trunk lid that opens sideways. Engineers are subjecting this mechanism to 15,000 opening and closing cycles to ensure long-term durability, which the company equates to over a century of standard use.

The testing program for the Nightingale will span 350 weeks across diverse environments, including Arctic regions, North African deserts, and mountain roads reaching 2,750 meters in altitude. The vehicle is equipped with a speed limiter set to 250 km/h.
