Rivian delivered 19,248 vehicles in the US during the third quarter of 2026, securing the second position among individual EV brands. This result marks a significant climb from the 10th place held by the company a year earlier. According to Cox Automotive, the brand captured a 7.2 percent share of the US electric vehicle market.

The company's quarterly deliveries rose by 45.7 percent compared to the same period in 2025. Year-to-date, Rivian's sales have increased by 26.8 percent through the first nine months of 2026. While the R1S SUV remains a volume leader with 5,582 units sold in Q3, the commercial van segment showed the most substantial growth.

Sales of the EDV 500 and EDV 700 commercial vans reached 8,469 units in the third quarter, representing a 220.9 percent year-over-year increase. These vans, which support logistics operations for Amazon and other fleet buyers, now outsell the company's passenger vehicles. Year-to-date, van sales have surpassed 15,000 units.

The R2 model contributed 3,456 sales during its first full quarter on the market, with only the higher-priced Performance trim currently available. Rivian plans to introduce more affordable variants of the R2 in the future, which the company expects will further drive volume growth beyond the current figures.
