US-based expense management platform Ramp has officially entered the UK market, marking its first expansion outside North America. The company established a local team in London and has been onboarding British clients since the summer, including ElevenLabs and CRM provider Attio.
The expansion follows the acquisition of the Swedish payment infrastructure firm Billhop, which provided Ramp with regulatory authorization in both the UK and the EU. Ramp currently maintains European offices in London and Sweden, building on its previous international growth in Canada.
Ramp offers an integrated suite for corporate payments, procurement, travel booking, and automated bookkeeping. The company competes with US-based Brex and European firms such as Spendesk, Payhawk, and Pleo. Its global customer base now exceeds 70,000 entities, including Visa, Uber, and Spotify.
A core component of the UK launch is the platform's AI token spend intelligence tools. Ramp reports that AI-related expenditures among its users have increased approximately 21 times since June 2025. The software allows finance teams to track costs across various AI models and internal departments.
In June 2024, Ramp secured $750 million in funding, reaching a valuation of $44 billion. To support its UK corporate card offering, the company is collaborating with Visa, integrating its management platform with the global payment network.
