Qualcomm has initiated a 10% price increase for its PC processors, including the Snapdragon X and X2 Elite series, starting this month. This adjustment follows a broader trend of rising costs across the semiconductor industry, driven by higher wafer foundry quotes and increased prices for assembly components.
Intel implemented its own price hikes in September. The company raised prices for the Panther Lake series with large integrated graphics by 15–20%. Other product lines, such as Meteor Lake and Arrow Lake, saw increases of 5–10%, while Alder Lake N and Twin Lake processors experienced price adjustments ranging from 10% to 20%.
AMD is also preparing to adjust the pricing for its processor lineup. While the company has confirmed its intent to raise prices, it has not yet disclosed specific details regarding the scale of the increases, the affected product ranges, or the exact timeline for when these changes will take effect.
