The Qt 6.12 LTS framework, released on September 30, introduces a five-year maintenance cycle designed for industrial projects and commercial software. This release focuses on enhancing UI rendering performance, development efficiency, and network security compliance.

A key addition is the official support for Huawei HarmonyOS, which is now included in the LTS platform matrix. Developers can expect the same level of technical support, maintenance, and stability for HarmonyOS as they receive for other major platforms.

The commercial version of Qt 6.12 complies with the EU Cyber Resilience Act. It provides a Software Bill of Materials, security validation mechanisms, and specific service-level agreements for vulnerability responses to ensure enterprise-grade security.

The update includes a QML engine with native hot-reloading, allowing developers to update application views in real-time without restarting. Additionally, QtGrpc now supports client-side message compression and inbound message size limits to optimize bandwidth.
