A screenshot from a Qijing Auto media group chat recently circulated online. It showed a staff member posting content related to 'Xiaomi Pengcheng Offense and Defense'. The group was subsequently disbanded.
Qijing Auto stated that the post was an operational error by a staff member. The company explained that 'offense and defense' refers to internal monitoring and fact-checking of competing products, rather than a planned attack against rivals. The company apologized for the unprofessional handling of the situation and the hasty disbanding of the group.
The Qijing GX7 SUV, which began pre-sales on September 4, is marketed as a smart five-seater vehicle. The company claims the design is based on an analysis of over 2,100 family user surveys. The car features 12 space modes and a rear seat that folds flat in 20 seconds.
The vehicle offers a vertical space of 855 millimeters above the rear seats. Even with the seats folded flat, the trunk can accommodate four 20-inch suitcases. Qijing Auto emphasized that it intends to focus on product quality and user needs in its future market competition.
