Readers of the physical book 'Zhongyan Lu Duxing' recently discovered an unusual sentence inserted into the main text: 'Do you need me to fine-tune some sentences to make the overall style more consistent with the suspense and supernatural atmosphere?' This phrase was absent from the 80th chapter of the online version.
The publisher, Tianjin Zhiyu Shiguang Culture Media, and the planning team issued a formal apology. They stated that the error occurred during the text editing process when the team mistakenly included a prompt from proofreading software as part of the manuscript.
Jiangsu Phoenix Literature and Art Publishing House clarified that the mistake was not the fault of the author. The publisher noted that the manuscript passed through multiple hands during the editing and proofreading stages, leading to the oversight.
To rectify the situation, the publisher has decided to recall all distributed copies of the book. These copies will be destroyed, and the text will undergo a thorough revision before being reissued.
