ProLogium and Rimac Technology are collaborating on solid-state battery systems, focusing on a cell-to-pack architecture for pouch cells. ProLogium provides the cell technology, while Rimac manages system integration and development.
The companies showcased a mockup at the Paris Motor Show. A functional battery segment is scheduled for presentation at CES 2027, followed by a fully functional battery pack in the second half of 2027.
Vehicle testing on public roads is planned for the second half of 2028. The project aims to optimize thermal management, mechanical integration, and weight reduction for electric vehicle applications.
ProLogium is building a gigafactory in Dunkirk, France, with an initial capacity of 4 GWh, aiming to reach 44 GWh annually by 2030. The company also operates an R&D center in Paris-Saclay.
Separately, Mercedes-Benz has been testing ProLogium’s Gen4 cells since September 2026. Meanwhile, Rimac is supplying high-voltage battery systems to BMW for the revised i7 model.
