Polymarket US, a prediction market regulated by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, processed over 74 million trades in October 2026. This figure represents a 15% increase compared to the previous month.
The surge in activity is attributed to the expansion of sports contracts, particularly for the NFL and college football, alongside the introduction of combo and parlay-style products in August 2026. These bundled contracts accounted for over 50% of activity during some weeks in October.
Financial metrics also reached record levels. In one week of October, the platform recorded a notional volume of $2.82 billion. Total volume for September 2026 reached $8.8 billion. Monthly active traders hit an all-time high of approximately 478,000 in October.
The platform, which launched in late 2025, faces competition from Kalshi, another regulated market. Kalshi recently reported a record $19 billion in contract volume for a single week in October, intensifying the product development race between the two entities.
