Phononic Vibes, a 2018 spin-off from Politecnico di Milano, produces noise and vibration control products using metamaterials. The company holds 18 patent families for its design engine. Its products are up to 30% lighter than traditional solutions while maintaining acoustic performance. The firm reached break-even in 2025, with revenue doubling annually since 2018.

The technology is currently utilized by Deutsche Bahn for rail noise barriers and by Mercedes-Benz in series-production vehicles. Contractors such as Webuild and Eteria also employ the company's products. The startup leads a group of manufacturers, including Matis, which was founded in 1979.

The company intends to use the new capital to scale its design engine internationally and expand into new sectors, including data centers and energy. Phononic Vibes also plans to pursue targeted acquisitions to increase its industrial capacity and broaden the reach of its technology.
