NASA's Perseverance rover has captured a 360-degree panoramic view of a geological site on Mars known as Turquoise Bay. This area is located within the region identified by researchers as the Margin Unit.

The final panorama consists of 818 individual images. The rover collected this data between October 5 and October 16, 2023, which corresponds to the 933rd through 944th Martian sols of the mission.

The Mastcam-Z camera system, used to record the images, is operated by Arizona State University in partnership with Malin Space Science Systems and the Niels Bohr Institute of the University of Copenhagen.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, manages the Perseverance mission on behalf of NASA. The agency has released both natural-color and enhanced-color versions of the panoramic data.
