The developer of the DLSS-NR-on-AMD tool released versions Alpha 0.3.3 and Alpha 0.4.0 within 24 hours. According to GitHub release notes, these updates increased performance on Radeon hardware by approximately 74%. Testing by YouTuber Ancient Gameplays in Cyberpunk 2077 at 3440x1440 resolution showed framerates rising from 30 FPS to 50 FPS.
The tool functions by using NVIDIA DLSS 5 DLL files on AMD Radeon RX 9000 and RX 7000 series GPUs. It intercepts DLL calls and routes neural computations to AMD hardware, leveraging RDNA 4 support for FP8 math. Version Alpha 0.3.3 introduced a graphical installer, a settings editor, and overlay controls to simplify the setup process.
Following the initial updates, the developer released Alpha 0.4.1. This version provides an additional 8% boost in overall performance and a 9% increase during intensive gameplay scenarios.
