Panasonic is currently developing a specialized technological platform and artificial intelligence models for a new generation of industrial humanoid robots. The company aims to deploy these machines on assembly lines and in warehouse environments to automate routine tasks.
Chief AI Officer Akira Sakakibara stated that the first units could enter production as early as 2029. While specific technical specifications and project timelines remain undisclosed, the company is prioritizing the safety of the integrated battery systems to mitigate fire risks.
The manufacturer faces significant pressure from Chinese competitors who have already made substantial progress in the robotics sector. Panasonic views its proprietary AI research as a critical differentiator for operating effectively within complex industrial settings.
