Palo Alto-based AI infrastructure startup PaleBlueDot AI is currently in negotiations with Brookfield Asset Management to secure $600 million in private credit. The company intends to use these funds to purchase GPUs for a new facility in South Korea.

The planned facility will support the operations of the Chinese social platform Xiaohongshu, which currently serves over 300 million monthly active users. Xiaohongshu is expanding its AI-driven content recommendation, search, and commerce capabilities.

PaleBlueDot AI previously raised $150 million in a Series B round in January 2026, which brought the company's valuation to over $1 billion. In July 2026, the startup secured a $255 million GPU-backed note from Brookfield and Tor Investment Management.

The proposed $600 million financing would be the largest single funding event for the company to date. If finalized, the deal will push PaleBlueDot's total known equity and debt financing to more than $1 billion.

The startup operates across several Asian markets, including Japan, Singapore, and South Korea. The company acts as an intermediary connecting Western GPU supply chains with the demand from Asian enterprises.
