Palantir Technologies announced a partnership with Nebius Group on September 8, designating the firm as its preferred sovereign AI infrastructure provider for commercial clients. The deal integrates Nebius’ compute and inference capabilities into Palantir’s enterprise software stack, including AIP, Ontology, Foundry, and Apollo.

The collaboration allows customers to deploy and fine-tune open AI models using their own proprietary data without third-party control. Nebius provides modular data centers at secure power sites to address compute bottlenecks, enabling organizations to manage their AI models under controlled conditions.

This initiative expands Palantir’s sovereignty strategy beyond its previous focus on government and critical infrastructure. Earlier this year, the company partnered with NVIDIA in June for air-gapped deployments and with Rackspace Technology in July to support regulated enterprise environments.

The partnership addresses increasing regulatory requirements in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and the US regarding data storage and processing. For Palantir, the move aims to diversify its revenue mix, while for Nebius, the preferred partner status validates its modular data center approach.
