Oracle and OpenAI have announced an expanded partnership to integrate ChatGPT and Codex directly into Oracle’s enterprise applications and database products. The announcement was made by Oracle co-CEO Clay Magouyrk and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman during the Oracle AI World conference held in Las Vegas on October 27, 2026.
The collaboration aims to improve operational efficiency in sectors such as healthcare and finance by incorporating AI tools without requiring companies to replace their existing infrastructure. OpenAI president Greg Brockman noted that the initiative is designed to integrate advanced AI models into daily business operations.
Oracle is also upgrading its Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to support a broader range of hardware, including Google TPUs, OpenAI’s Jalapeño chips, and Cerebras systems. This multi-chip strategy is intended to position OCI as a neutral platform for diverse AI hardware.
The leadership structure at Oracle shifted in September 2025 to a dual-CEO model, with Clay Magouyrk overseeing cloud infrastructure and Mike Sicilia managing applications and industry solutions. Magouyrk, who joined Oracle in 2014, has overseen the expansion of OCI to more than 100 public regions.
