OpenZeppelin is integrating Chainlink’s infrastructure into its development suite to facilitate institutional onchain finance. This partnership, announced on October 20, incorporates the Chainlink Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) and the ACE compliance engine directly into OpenZeppelin’s existing tools.
The integration allows developers to access features such as KYC checks, sanctions screening, volume limits, and Secure Mint via OpenZeppelin’s Wizards and AI tools. These capabilities currently support ERC-20 and ERC-3643 token standards, enabling compliance policy updates without the need to redeploy underlying smart contracts.
The collaboration provides a migration path for OpenZeppelin Defender workflows to the Chainlink Runtime Environment (CRE). Companies plan to release three institutional reference solutions in the coming months, which will include deployable code, security models, and technical architecture documentation.
OpenZeppelin has already released a migration guide for teams transitioning to the CRE. While initial releases are currently restricted to private evaluation and internal testing, future updates will include support for OpenZeppelin’s UI Builder to further streamline the development of tokenized financial products.
