OpenAI is introducing a new interface called Intelligent UI, which will be integrated into the GPT-6 model. This feature shifts the chatbot from a primarily text-based experience to one that incorporates interactive visual elements directly into user conversations.
The new interface includes tappable buttons, editable graphs, interactive charts, and specialized calculators. According to product manager Aarush Selvan, these tools are designed to assist users with complex tasks, such as understanding mechanical dynamics or planning travel itineraries.
Users will have the ability to customize the frequency of these visual elements, allowing them to reduce or disable them if preferred. The company aims to simplify the process of learning abstract topics through these dynamic, illustrative diagrams.
Intelligent UI will launch globally for Pro, Plus, Business, and Enterprise subscribers alongside the GPT-6 model. Free and Go users will gain access to the new interface one day after the initial rollout.
