OpenAI is currently generating an annualized revenue of nearly $70 billion, a significant increase from the $40 billion figure reported in August. This growth is largely driven by strong demand for AI-powered coding tools from both corporate and individual clients.

The company plans to raise at least $30 billion in new funding before its initial public offering. Following this capital injection, the startup's valuation is expected to reach $1.4 trillion. Investors remain supportive of these fundraising efforts due to the rapid revenue growth.

CEO Sam Altman stated that the company is delaying its IPO, likely until 2027, to focus on adapting to new AI safety requirements as a private entity. This approach aims to avoid the public scrutiny and pressure that typically accompany a newly listed company.

In line with its current strategy, OpenAI has adjusted its subscription model, introducing a new tier priced at $500 per month while imposing stricter limits on the existing $200 plan. Additionally, the company recently halted the public release of its GPT-6.1 Astra model due to safety concerns.
