OpenAI is expanding its cloud presence by integrating its latest GPT 6.1 model suite—Astra, Sol, and Luna—into Google Cloud. These models will be accessible through the Google Cloud Marketplace, allowing enterprise clients to utilize their existing cloud spending commitments for these services.

The integration is currently available in private preview for select enterprise customers. Users can request early access to these models, which will be deployable via API, including through the Codex CLI and Codex Desktop interfaces. Google manages the inference entirely on its own infrastructure.

Google's Model Garden, which already hosts over 200 options including Gemini, Mistral, Llama, Gemma, and Anthropic's Claude, will now feature the new OpenAI lineup. Google claims this makes it the only major cloud provider to offer all three leading closed LLMs simultaneously.

Beyond enterprise cloud services, the OpenAI models are also coming to the Google Antigravity client. While Antigravity previously supported Gemini and Claude, the addition of the new GPT models provides users with further alternatives to Google's own Gemini 4 Argon model.
