Copenhagen-based IoT infrastructure provider Onomondo has secured over €100 million in a new funding round. The investment is led by Aspirity Partners, which has reached a definitive agreement to acquire a majority stake in the company. Denmark’s sovereign investment fund, EIFO, which has supported the startup since 2021, also participated in the round.

Onomondo operates a proprietary technology stack that includes SoftSIM capabilities and hybrid network management. The company provides connectivity across nearly 700 global networks. Its infrastructure is designed to support edge computing and physical AI by enabling seamless transitions between private and public networks for industrial assets.

The platform currently serves more than 500 enterprise customers, including major corporations such as Maersk, Carlsberg, and Husqvarna. One notable deployment involves the world’s largest private LTE network at sea, covering over 450 Maersk vessels. This allows ships to maintain consistent connectivity while moving between different network environments.

The company, founded eight years ago, plans to utilize the new capital to accelerate its international expansion and further develop its product offerings. Onomondo aims to capture emerging opportunities within the global IoT landscape by providing a unified platform that connects devices, networks, and the cloud.
