Oil Avtomatika has introduced the Submersible Linear Motor Installation (UP-LD), a system designed for low-yield oil wells. The technology replaces traditional rod strings with a linear motor consisting of a coil module stator and a permanent magnet slider, enabling direct reciprocating motion for the pump plunger.

The system supports continuous fluid extraction, replacing periodic operation modes. It features a 117 mm diameter, a maximum length of 20 meters, and a plunger stroke of approximately 1.2 meters. The installation offers a daily flow rate of 12–30 cubic meters and a nominal head range of 800–2700 meters.

The equipment is currently deployed across several Russian regions, including the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Tatarstan, and the Perm Krai, as well as internationally in Egypt and Thailand. Operational data indicates a record service life of 1,967 days at a site in the Orenburg region.

Development of the technology began in 2018, with serial production starting in 2021. Future plans include testing new pump models in late 2026 and developing specialized versions for high gas factor and high impurity environments between 2027 and 2030.
