A Reddit user purchased an NZXT Flex One PC for $650, despite the unit having a market value of approximately $1,500. The computer was later remotely blocked after the company identified it as stolen property that had been rented through the NZXT Flex program.

The service provider, Fragile, intervened after the buyer shared their experience on Reddit. The company requested documentation, including receipts and communication logs with the seller, and subsequently agreed to replace the unusable device for the victim.

The buyer is currently awaiting shipping instructions to return the blocked unit via FedEx. Fragile stated that it intends to work with local law enforcement to pursue the individual who illegally sold the rental equipment.

The NZXT rental program launched in 2024. Earlier this year, the company reached a settlement of $3.45 million in a California RICO lawsuit related to the program's operations.
