The New York Stock Exchange has partnered with Broadridge Financial Solutions to integrate onchain governance into its forthcoming tokenized securities platform. The agreement, announced on November 2, 2026, tasks Broadridge with managing shareholder records, proxy voting, and digital transfer agency services for tokenized assets.
Broadridge will utilize smart contracts to enforce corporate governance rules and authenticate digital wallets. The company intends to maintain its traditional transfer agency operations alongside the new blockchain-based services, supporting both conventional equities and tokenized shares during the transition period.
This collaboration expands the infrastructure of the NYSE project, which already includes Securitize and tZERO. The exchange first detailed its plans for the platform in January 2026 and signed a memorandum of understanding with Securitize in March 2026 to serve as the initial digital transfer agent.
The proposed platform aims to enable 24/7 trading, instant settlement, and the use of stablecoins for trade funding. Broadridge brings prior experience to the project, having processed proxy voting for Galaxy Digital on an Avalanche-based blockchain in May 2026.
The platform remains subject to regulatory approval, which is a prerequisite for the implementation of Broadridge’s services. The NYSE is currently combining expertise from both crypto-native firms and traditional market infrastructure providers to navigate the regulatory review process.
