Nvidia has officially released the GeForce Game Ready driver version 617.42. This update is compatible with the entire lineup of Nvidia GeForce graphics cards and is available for download via the official website or the Nvidia App.
The new driver introduces performance optimizations for several titles that support DLSS and RTX technologies. The list of supported games includes Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Star Wars: Galactic Racer, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and Valor Mortis.
In addition to new game support, the update addresses a specific technical issue. It resolves a bug where Assassin's Creed: Shadows would crash to the desktop during extended gameplay sessions, a problem that emerged following the installation of the previous 616.56 driver version.
