During the GTC conference in Berlin, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang demonstrated Microduck robots, which perform various movements like walking, sitting, and somersaults. The robots were trained using Nvidia's technology stack within a simulation environment before being deployed to the real world.
Following the viral video of the demonstration, Hugging Face CEO Clément Delangue reported that pre-orders for the devices exceeded 20,000 units. The company expects to begin deliveries by Christmas, positioning the robots as a potential top-selling product for the holiday season.
Microduck is a bipedal robot developed by Pollen Robotics, a company acquired by Hugging Face in 2025. Following Nvidia's acquisition of Hugging Face in September 2026, the project is now part of the Nvidia ecosystem. Users can teach the robots new skills and share them with the community.
