New laptops powered by the Nvidia RTX Spark platform are entering the market as competitors to Apple MacBook Pro models. Prices for these devices start at $2599 for base configurations from manufacturers including Dell, Lenovo, MSI, HP, Asus, and Microsoft.
The base configuration features an 18-core Arm processor, a Blackwell GPU with 5120 CUDA cores, 24 GB of unified memory, and a 512 GB storage drive. This hardware set is positioned against the 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M5 Pro chip.
Higher-end models command significantly higher prices. The Asus ProArt P16, featuring 20 processor cores, 128 GB of memory, and a 2 TB drive, is priced at $6999.99. Meanwhile, the Surface Laptop Ultra with 48 GB of memory is currently available for $3999.99.
Market analysts note that the high cost of these laptops is partially driven by a shortage of memory chips. These devices are primarily targeted at professional content creators and users who require local execution of artificial intelligence tools.
