Nvidia is reportedly delaying the launch of the GeForce RTX 5080 24GB, which is intended to replace the current RTX 5080 model as the new flagship gaming graphics card. Industry reports indicate that Nvidia has not yet provided the necessary design documentation to its partners, making a release in January 2027 unlikely.

The company initially planned to distribute design specifications in October but failed to meet this internal deadline. Given current supply chain constraints and the lack of finalized plans from Nvidia, analysts suggest the product will likely debut in the first quarter of 2027 instead of the previously rumored January timeframe.

Technical specifications for the upcoming card include the GB203-450 chip and 24Gb GDDR7 memory modules. The card is expected to feature higher core frequencies and increased memory speeds, with bandwidth rising from 960 GB/s to 1024 GB/s. Additionally, the TDP is set to increase from 360W to 415W.
