Nvidia is reportedly in discussions to invest an additional $1 billion into Figure AI, a humanoid robotics startup founded in 2022. While these talks remain unconfirmed, Nvidia is already an existing investor, having participated in the company's Series C funding round in September 2025. That round raised over $1 billion, resulting in a post-money valuation of $39 billion for the startup.

Figure AI has secured approximately $1.9 billion in total funding to date, with backing from Microsoft, the OpenAI Startup Fund, and Intel Capital. Beyond financial support, Nvidia provides the hardware infrastructure for Figure's Helix AI foundation model and its robotic systems. CEO Jensen Huang noted that this collaboration supports training and deployment on Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs.

In September 2026, Figure AI entered a strategic partnership with the UK-based cloud provider Nscale. The agreement involves an initial $3.5 billion in compute capacity, with the potential to exceed $6 billion. Nscale plans to deploy up to 100,000 Nvidia Vera Rubin GPUs, with projects scheduled to begin in Barstow, Texas, during the second half of 2027.

The startup is currently focused on scaling robot production and advancing its Helix model. Management identified a need for increased data and computing resources as primary development bottlenecks. Future developments will depend on whether the potential $1 billion investment is finalized and if the infrastructure deployment in Texas remains on schedule.
