Jensen Huang, the CEO of Nvidia, has become a key advisor to US President Donald Trump on artificial intelligence matters. According to US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, the president aligns his views on AI risks directly with those of the Nvidia executive.

President Trump has publicly rejected calls for slowing down AI development, arguing that such measures would benefit China. Huang advocates for addressing AI safety through engineering solutions rather than political regulation, asserting that market forces should govern the industry.

The influence of the Nvidia CEO was evident in the decision to lift export restrictions on H200 accelerators to China last December. The US government permitted these shipments on the condition that 25 percent of the revenue from these sales is paid into the US budget.

Huang has dismissed concerns regarding a potential AI-driven global catastrophe by 2030, labeling the risk as zero. He maintains that the industry should advance at maximum speed while ensuring products are safe and fully developed before release.
