Nvidia and Foxconn have demonstrated a new robotic assembly process for GB300 server components. The automation focuses on complex tasks previously requiring manual labor, specifically the assembly of busbars and multiple connectors.
The robotic system achieves a success rate of over 95 percent for busbar assembly and between 90 and 95 percent for multi-connector insertion. The target assembly time is set at under 124 seconds for busbars and under 72 seconds for four-connector sets.
Foxconn, which holds over 40 percent of the global AI server market, maintains a joint design and manufacturing partnership with Nvidia. The company plans to implement an 800 VDC power architecture under its K-1 project to improve power and cooling integration.
The GB300 platform, based on the Blackwell Ultra architecture, features 72 GPUs and 36 Grace CPUs connected via NVLink. The system was showcased at Computex 2025 and is designed for liquid-cooled rack environments.
