NUS Enterprise has rebranded as NUSX, positioning itself as a venture-building and IP commercialization platform. The organization is expanding its global footprint with new outposts in Munich and Shanghai, building on its existing Silicon Valley presence established in July 2026.
The Munich office will partner with UnternehmerTUM to focus on biotech, AI, and semiconductors. A third outpost is scheduled to open in Shanghai in the fourth quarter of 2026. These hubs aim to provide deep tech ventures with direct access to international markets and investors.
NUSX launched Nova, an AI-powered platform developed with Zima Labs to streamline research commercialization. The system analyzes patent licensing potential by processing data from over 20,000 patents, 9,000 research projects, and 11,000 inventors to identify commercial partners.
Nova automates the identification of market opportunities and licensing pathways, reducing tasks that previously took weeks to minutes. The tool matches NUS technologies with industry needs, providing evidence-based recommendations for commercialization managers and researchers.
These initiatives align with Singapore’s Research, Innovation and Enterprise 2030 plan, which allocates SGD 37 billion over five years. Additionally, NUSX is hosting the Singapore Defense Tech Hackathon from September 25 to 27, 2026, featuring 300 global participants.
