The program focuses on managing complex IT infrastructure that supports cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and Big Data processing services. It is described as the only such program east of the Ural Mountains and one of the few in Russia that combines fundamental science with applied development.

The curriculum was designed from scratch, without borrowing disciplines from existing programs. This approach was taken to meet the specific tasks of the direction, requiring significant computing power and a specialized infrastructure.

The first intake of students consists of 29 people, divided into two groups of 14-15 people. The student body includes graduates from other faculties and universities, and the university reported a high level of competition for admission this year.
