Nissan is reviving the Pixo nameplate for a new entry-level electric city car designed specifically for the European market. The vehicle is developed in partnership with Renault and shares its platform with the Renault Twingo. Production will take place at the Renault manufacturing facility in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
The Pixo EV features a 27.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, marking the first time Nissan has utilized LFP battery technology for an electric vehicle in Europe. The car offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 259 km. Using a 50 kW DC fast charger, the battery can charge from 15% to 80% in approximately 28 minutes.
The compact vehicle measures 3,796 mm in length, 1,790 mm in width, and 1,512 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,492 mm. Despite its entry-level positioning, the model includes advanced driver assistance systems such as automated emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, and e-Pedal technology, alongside Google built-in services.
Nissan plans to announce market-specific pricing in December. The vehicle is expected to start at under €20,000, or $23,000, before applying any subsidies or incentives. The Pixo EV will be positioned below the Micra in the company's European lineup and will not be available in the United States.
