Hyundai unveiled the new generation of its Bayon compact crossover at the Paris Motor Show. The vehicle features a design inspired by the Tucson, utilizing the Art of Steel concept. Key exterior updates include T-shaped daytime running lights, a raised hood line, and angular wheel arches. The model will also offer an N Line trim, which adds 18-inch wheels, a sport body kit, and dual exhaust pipes.

The wheelbase has been extended by 20 mm to a total of 2600 mm. Interior upgrades include dual 12.3-inch displays, ventilated front seats, a panoramic roof, and a Bose audio system. The vehicle also supports the Hyundai Digital Key 2, enabling smartphone-based access and ignition. All configurations of the new Bayon are strictly front-wheel drive.

The powertrain lineup includes a 1.0-liter T-GDI engine available in 90 hp and 115 hp versions, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 90 hp variant reaches 100 km/h in 14.1 seconds, while the 115 hp version takes 10.8 seconds. Additionally, a 1.6 HEV hybrid system producing 138 hp is now available, paired with a 6-speed robotic gearbox.

European sales are scheduled to commence in early 2027. The company confirmed that the Bayon will not be released in the United States, where the Kona remains the smallest crossover in the Hyundai lineup.
