NetApp is launching a strategy to prepare legacy enterprise data for artificial intelligence applications without requiring infrastructure reconstruction. The company aims to make existing data accessible, governed, and protected directly where it is currently stored.

The platform supports unified storage across file, block, and object formats. NetApp announced plans to introduce a fully managed storage service on Oracle cloud infrastructure, which is scheduled to become available within the next 12 months.

The company is integrating its data protection tools with an expanded partnership with Commvault Systems. Additionally, the NetApp Console control plane now supports local deployments for environments that operate in a disconnected state from the cloud.

The Console tool provides centralized fleet management, observability, reporting, and analytics. This approach is designed to reduce operational costs by eliminating the need for separate teams and management tools for different storage environments.
