NetApp and Cisco Systems are repositioning their joint infrastructure platform, FlexPod, to support enterprise AI deployments. The companies aim to provide pre-tested, integrated stacks to reduce the complexity of managing storage, networking, and compute resources for AI workloads.
The FlexPod franchise has been operating for 16 years, serving 10 000 enterprise customers. According to NetApp, the ecosystem has generated $21 billion in value over this period.
In June, the partners expanded the FlexPod offerings specifically for AI. The initiative focuses on delivering validated designs that allow customers to deploy infrastructure at scale without the burden of manual integration.
Looking ahead, NetApp and Cisco plan to continue developing the FlexPod AI platform. The companies expect to add new partners to the ecosystem to support the next phase of infrastructure requirements for AI.
