Nanotronika, a subsidiary of the Element group, plans to reduce its workforce by 20%. The company, which employs fewer than 100 people, intends to dismiss approximately 20 engineers, including those with advanced technical degrees.

The trade union of Nanotronika addressed a letter to the board of directors and shareholders of Element on September 23, 2026. The document states that employees were asked to resign voluntarily without receiving severance pay, as no official staff reduction procedures were initiated.

The company, established in 2023, specializes in equipment for microelectronics manufacturing, such as plasma etching and ion implantation systems. In 2024, Element invested several billion rubles into the firm.

Financial reports for 2025 show that Nanotronika's net loss doubled to 145.97 ₽ million compared to 2024. While the company reported revenue of 68.7 ₽ million, its balance sheet grew to 1.4 ₽ billion.

Representatives of Element confirmed receipt of the union's letter. They stated that the optimization process does not affect staff with critical competencies for the electronic engineering sector and that the company plans to hire specialists as it grows.
