MVB, a banking partner for fintech firms, has entered a partnership with the enterprise payments platform Velocity. The collaboration focuses on integrating stablecoin infrastructure into existing banking and payment systems to improve liquidity management and capital movement.

As part of the pilot program, MVB will utilize stablecoin payments to settle its Visa Direct payouts. This integration aims to provide the bank and its customers with more flexible settlement options while maintaining established financial controls and operational workflows.

The partnership serves as a foundation for MVB to expand the use of stablecoins across various treasury and payment use cases. According to CEO Larry F. Mazza, the initiative is designed to address inefficiencies in capital movement by leveraging stablecoin technology.

Velocity CEO Eric Queathem noted that the project demonstrates how stablecoin liquidity can connect directly to global payment rails. This development follows Visa's broader strategy of integrating stablecoins and AI into traditional systems to facilitate faster, more flexible payment processing.
